HADES renovation project - SHAFT 1
In 2020 and 2021, EIG EURIDICE has been renovating the hoisting system of the first access shaft of HADES.

EURIDICE is an economic interest grouping between SCK CEN and ONDRAF/NIRAS, the Belgian agency for radioactive waste and enriched fissile materials.
Underground research laboratory
This is where industrial technologies are developed for disposal of radioactive waste in deep clay.
HADES40
This year we celebrate 40 years of HADES URL: 4 years of research on geological disposal of long-lived and/or highly active waste, at a depth of 225 meters in the Boom Clay.
