Privacy statement EIG EURIDICE

1. Purpose of the privacy statement

EIG EURIDICE attaches great importance to your privacy and the careful management of your personal data. In doing so, we always observe the requirements of privacy legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (also known as GDPR). With this privacy statement, we want to inform you about how your personal data are processed. 

All denominations with a capital letter not defined in this declaration have the meaning given to them in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

EIG EURIDICE protects your personal data and your privacy in accordance with the Belgian and European regulations on the protection of privacy. Read this statement very carefully. Not only are your rights described below, but also the way in which you can exercise these rights.

By using our website and communicating your personal data, you expressly agree with the way in which EIG EURIDICE collects and processes your personal data, as described in this statement.

2. Which personal data do we process and why?

Information you provide us with

We process the data that you provide to us via our website or through other channels, such as email addresses. We only use this information for the purposes for which you provide it to us, for example to receive our newsletter. 

Cookies

Cookies are small data or text files that your computer or mobile device stores when you visit our website. The cookie file contains a unique code with which we can recognize you, your browser and/or your device during your visit or during subsequent visits. Cookies can be implemented by the server of our website, but also by servers of third parties that may or may not work with our website (such as Google Analytics).

3. Who do we share your personal data with?

Internal

We always ensure that access to your personal data within our organization is limited to the employees who need access for the purposes for which you provided the data. For example, only our communication service has access to the data you provide to receive our newsletter.

External

We sometimes call on third parties, such as developers and IT service providers, to maintain and improve our services. We only provide your personal data to these third-party service providers to the extent necessary to perform a contract. In that case, we always conclude an agreement to ensure that they only process your personal data in accordance with the instructions of EIG EURIDICE, while maintaining the same level of security and confidentiality as we do. EIG EURIDICE remains responsible for these processing by third parties.

At the request of the government or in order to comply with other legal obligations, personal data may also be transferred to competent authorities, for example in case of impending or pending legal proceedings or in the context of judicial investigations and information requests.

4. How long do we keep your data?

We do not keep your personal data longer than is strictly necessary for the purposes for which the data was collected (see part 2 of this privacy statement). In addition, we will delete your data without undue delay if you request us to do so and that request is admissible (see section 5 of this privacy statement).

5. Rights with regard to your personal data

With regard to your personal data you are always entitled to: 

  • withdrawing, whether or not partially, your consent for the processing of personal data:

 o by unsubscribing to our newsletter

 o by changing the settings for cookies in your browser (see part 2 of this privacy statement)

  • requesting access to your personal data
  • requesting rectification of your personal data
  • requesting to limit the processing of your personal data
  • requesting the complete removal of your personal data
  • requesting data transfer (this means that you request to transfer your data to yourself or to another organization)
  • submitting a complaint regarding the processing of your personal data.

All requests to exercise the abovementioned rights can be made through the channels given in section 8 of this privacy statement. If you do not come to a solution with us, you also have the right to file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (formerly known as the "Privacy Commission"). 6. The security of your personal data

EIG EURIDICE does everything it can to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access and other unwanted actions with your personal data. We take the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure that their processing complies with the requirements of national and European legislation and in this way also ensure the protection of your rights. We ensure that these measures are regularly monitored and adjusted where necessary.

7. Changes to the privacy statement

We may change this privacy statement from time to time. All updates and changes are effective immediately upon their publication. We therefore encourage users to consult this privacy statement regularly so that they are informed of changes that may affect them. Significant changes will of course be communicated to the users through the current communication channels. 

If we wish to process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which the personal data was obtained, we will provide information about that other purpose and all other relevant information in advance, through the same communication channels.
