A.
The expansion of the HADES programme (called the PRACLAY project ) the objective of which is to demonstrate the feasibility of one concept for disposing of radioactive waste in clay layers.
B.
The coordination and execution of the technical aspects of the PRACLAY project, including the process for extending the existing underground laboratory, comprising:
  • an additional shaft with corresponding hoisting equipment and ventilation building
  • a gallery connected to the earlier HADES infrastructure
  • a PRACLAY gallery
  • the development of the PRACLAY experiment - preceded by the completion of an aboveground mock-up (OPHELIE) - and the additional equipment and the complete monitoring of the experimental phase (including the stages ranging from dismantling to analysing) and reporting the results.

C.
The management and operation of all the installations situated on the territory where the EIG EURIDICE has a building lease.
D.
The possible realisation, exploitation and valorisation of other research projects and experiments with regard to the disposal of radioactive waste, as well as the valorisation of all the installations situated on the premises on which the EIG has building and planting rights and this insofar the other objectives mentioned in the present article are not compromised. In this respect, the EIG EURIDICE can conclude collaboration or other contracts, including contracts by which the installations situated on the premises on which the EIG has building and planting rights are placed at the disposal of a third party for valuable consideration in order to carry out projects and/or experiments.
